Account Director wanted!

ChangeStar is a fundraising and social change agency helping not-for-profit organisations to seek a better world. We are leaders in direct marketing fundraising from individuals – we get the best results you are likely to find anywhere.

We are a busy and growing agency, and are seeking a talented and experienced Account Director to manage some of our client accounts. You will need to take full responsibility for managing the development of fundraising appeals and other communications for specific ChangeStar clients – from campaign planning to review. You will also help clients build, review and improve their strategies.

It means a lot to our clients to work with people of Account Director level who are ‘do-ers’ – who will manage their campaigns every step of the way, rather than delegating to Account Managers or Executives, and we want to continue this tradition with this role.
So, you’ll need to have at least 5 years experience of managing direct response fundraising campaigns – with at least some of this working in an agency environment. You’ll be comfortable managing both recruitment and donor development campaigns across all major media (including cold, inserts, press, telephone, DRTV and digital).

You’ll also need to have a demonstrable passion for the issues that we work with – including progressive politics, the environment and social justice. We’d also like to work with someone who is professional, very well organised, with an eye for detail and ability to get things done, but who is also calm, relaxed and friendly.

Finally, you will be energetic and proactive, willing to invest time and care in every project and client relationship to ensure that they are driven forward and that our work is of the highest quality.

Salary is circa £35,000 to £40,000 pro rata. We also offer a groundbreaking flexible working scheme to help you get the most out of work and other areas of your life.

The role will be based at our offices in Lewes, East Sussex, just 1 hour direct on the train from London and 15 minutes from Brighton.
